Leaving the School Premises During School Hours.
Members of staff are free to leave the school at lunchtimes if not on yard duty. Members of staff are requested to let the office know – this helps in finding staff for messages during lunchtime if necessary. Administrative and planning time is provided for teachers to prepare class and/or curriculum materials, to organise school activities and generally for work of a school or school related nature. It is not provided for teachers to undertake private business and teachers would not normally be entitled to leave the premises during their administrative and planning time, unless exceptional circumstances prevail, in which case, approval should be sought from the Principal prior to the time taken. |
Access to School Premises After Hours.
A security alarm system is installed in the school premises. Staff will be issued with a school key and security disk . Staff must ensure that the security system is turned off when they are the first person accessing the building and back on again if they are the last person leaving the building. A record of school keys is maintained by the Principal/Business Manager. |
