CAMPS AND EXCURSIONS
Excursions and Camps.

The following numbers are to be regarded as the minimum staff/student ratios which may apply. Special circumstances may require more adults than specified. All staff/student rations must be discussed with the Principal during the planning stages by the teacher-in-charge.
Thorough preparation must be made for the camp or excursion, to include the following details;
The cooperation of all teachers is requested from time to time in supervising students additional to their class. The following procedures are to be observed in arranging supervision of children who are not attending an excursion, camp, swimming program etc. Generally the following arrangements would be made by the teacher in charge of organising the excursion.

IN 2024 and beyond
All excursions that leave Beaufort (cost or not) must be presented to School Council prior to notes being sent home. This includes costings (if there are any) and risk management plan. All camps and excursions (involving water or high risk) must be approved by school council, with full costings and risk management plan, prior to information being distributed. (includes all camps, activities involving or around water, Raglan Ride, adventure activities. No excursion will go ahead until it has been sighted and/or approved by school council, including parent helpers. Any unknown and last minute excursions or events will need to be emailed out to school council for their sighting and/or approval prior to notes and communication being sent home. School Council are reluctant to approve any excursion or event this way, and have the right to decline the request for participation. Local excursions (excluding sporting events) can still go ahead as long as parents have signed the local excursion form. Sporting events will need to sighted by school council. When selecting parent helpers, please note that they must be on the school council approved parent helpers list and must be fully vaccinated and hold a current WWCC All local excursions, camps and excursions must be entered on the DET required portal before occurring. These can not be back dated. This is the responsibility of the teacher organising the excursion or camp. Annual camps and excursions
